Fatih Terim has a new club, he will earn a serious sum for a short contract

Legendary Turkish coach Fatih Terim (71), nicknamed the Emperor, got his job again after leaving Panathinaikos.

After seven months without involvement, Terim was appointed coach of Saudi Al Shabab.

It will be his fourth assignment outside of Turkey, as he managed Fiorentina and Milan before Al Shabab and Panathinaikos. Terim will do well financially, he signed a contract for six months, and during that time he will earn 1,500,000 euros.

If he satisfies the appetite, there is a possibility to extend the cooperation for another year. Al Shabab were recently without a manager, as Vitor Pereira was lured by the smell of the Premier League and took over at Wolverhampton.

Terim comes at an awkward time. The team did not triumph in the previous three matches and is currently in sixth place in the table. It’s not that bad a composition. There’s Yannick Carrasco, Daniel Podence and Giacomo Bonaventura. The famous Emperor is known as a great motivator and coach who knows how to get the most out of every team, so there is no doubt that he will try to do the same in Saudi Arabia.

His career is rich in trophies and all of them were won with Galatasaray. He was the champion of Turkey eight times, the winner of the Cup three times, and the most valuable trophy came in the 1999/2000 season when he won the UEFA Cup by defeating Arsenal in the final.
