The Sarajevo National Theater notes that the previously announced performance dates in March and April have long been sold out.
On Europe’s most famous train, the Orient Express, time stands still in the middle of a snowy night. The train is stuck, one passenger dead, and the other eight – all different, all with untold secrets. In the center of the events is the detective Hercule Poirot, whose investigation in the confined space of the carriage reveals much more than the crime itself. The question raised by the play is eternal: justice or law – which is more important?
The character of Hercule Poirot is played by the famous Bosnian actor Mario Drmać, while the character of Monsieur Bouc is played by Faruk Hajdarević. Samuel Ratchett is played by Nerman Mahmutović, Countess Andrenyi by Anastasija Dunjić, and Princess Dragomiroff by Amra Kapidžić. Hector MacQueen is played by Issa Osmić, Greta Ohlsson by Sanela Krsmanović Bistrivoda, Helen Hubbard by Vedrana Božinović, while Colonel Arbuthnot is portrayed by Dino Bajrović. The character of Mary Debenham is played by Elma Fetić, and the role of the head of the hall and conductor Michel is entrusted to Mako Čengić.
The dramaturgy is written by Džejna Hodžić, while the scenography and costumes are the work of Adisa Vatreš Salimović. The performance offers a spectacular visual experience, complemented by the compositions of Mirza Redžepagić and the superbly designed lighting design of Moamer Šaković.
