This significant cultural event, under the auspices of the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović and Reisu-L-Ulema Husein ef. Kavazovic, provides a unique insight into the historical and modern interaction of Islam and European cultural space through the Bosnian experience.
The statement states that the exhibition depicts the rich tradition of Islamic spirituality, heritage, art, culture, dialogue and coexistence in Bosnia and Herzegovina, is pointing out as a space of encounter civilizations, interreligious dialogue and cultural exchange.
Through archive materials, photographs, manuscripts and artwork, visitors will have the opportunity to see how Islam in Bosnia has been an integral part of the European cultural mosaic throughout the ages.
It is stated that the exhibition is the result of an extensive research, educational and exhibition project, which has implemented the management and science of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with numerous cultural institutions, archives, museums, galleries and reputable artists, scientists and experts. The author of the concept of the exhibition and the main curator is dr. Aida Abadzic-Hodžić.
Exhibition “Under the sky Vedra Faith: Islam and Europe in Bosnia experience” was premiered in Sarajevo 11. October 2023. years, and after that in Zagreb, 4. November 2024. years, it was announced.
