The first downhill race for women of the Audi FIS World Cup in speed disciplines in 2025 will be held on Saturday, January 11 in St. Anton.
One of the preconditions for its organization was fulfilled today, after the registered competitors, 53 of them, took part in the first official training session.
Among the best female skiers in the world, who gathered in Austria, is the only BiH. representative of Elvedina Muzaferi. She used this opportunity to get to know the “Karl Schranz” track and to prepare as well as possible for the races ahead of her this weekend. Muzaferia started with the number 28, and crossed the track with a time of 1.31:87 hundredths, which was the 33rd time of today’s downhill training.
The second official downhill training in St.Anton is scheduled for tomorrow, however, its maintenance is questionable due to the weather conditions and high temperature, due to which the conditions on the track were not ideal even today.
We remind you that the current season opened with a downhill competition in the American Beaver Creek on December 14, in which Muzaferia took the 25th position and won points for the first time in the history of BiH skiing, in the first race of the season.
In the calendar of FIS events, on Sunday, January 12, a Super-G race is scheduled, in which Muzaferia will look for the first points in the discipline.
