The meeting was organized by the Faculty of Natural and Mathematics, University of Sarajevo in partnership with the Federation of BiH, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia.
Among the speakers who addressed the participants was Hanadi Džabić, General Director of RCB nanotechnology, which pointed out that the industrial future is increasingly dependent on the responsible environmental relationship.
Environment in front of the product
“The product was more important than the environment is the past. There will be no profit in the future, because there is no priority in the future. In RCB nanotechnology, we have developed it on time and we have developed technology that returns the renovated raw materials, such as Carbon Black from car tires, back to industrial chain, “Jabić pointed out.
She also emphasized that this technology is a multi-year cooperation with international scientific institutes, and that BiH is the home of the first industrial plant of this type in the world.
“Today’s event shows how much science and economy in BiH have started cooperating – it is our goal,” Džabić added, saying that in the audience, see future sustainability bearers and green transition.
Student engagement

He especially pointed out that cooperation with the economy goes in the direction of concrete agreements involving the engagement of students and academic staff on projects with real social effect.
Science and business hand in hand
This need for a balance between economic activities and preservation of natural resources also stressed the Vice President of the FBiH Chamber of Commerce, Mirsad Jašarspahić.
“Our economy must survive in harmony with the environment. Today is the opportunity to show this through examples of companies operating. We are particularly glad that the partner of the region is responsible and the profitable industry,” Jašarspahić said.
He added that technology today enables precise monitoring of environmental production, and that the error is to reject projects without a fundamental insight and scientific evaluation.
“Such forums are important because they connect young professionals, scientists and industry. We can only find solutions that enable development, and that the nature remains protected,” Jašarspahić concluded.
At the end of the event, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Faculty of Natural and Multi-Mathematics and Several Companies was held, which is symbolically sealed the intentional connection of the educational and business sectors in the Sustainable Future.
