The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy gave employers to implement special protection measures due to the weather in high temperatures to prevent the harmful consequences for the health of workers.
Recommendation to employers is to consider the ability to interrupt performing jobs on an open from 11 to 17 hours and continuation after 5 pm.
Special measures
If the work process is organized in the employer in such a way that it is impossible to apply the above, the Ministry provides recommendation to employers to perform workers in the open, starting working hours at six o’clock in the morning.
Special measures to protect employers should be taken for workers in labor-based workplaces, as well as workers’ workers, as well as workers in the work environment (chemical, physical and biological harmfulness, harmful climatic impacts, etc.) in accordance with regulations in the field Work protection, in order to prevent harmful consequences for the health of workers.
Also recommended to employers that during high temperatures, it enables the use of annual leave to workers with diagnosed chronic diseases, as well as the use of absences in accordance with the law, collective agreement or the Rules of Procedure.
The recommendation is also given that employers perform the organization of working hours and establish a schedule in such a way that the beginning of working hours is adapted to these weather conditions.
In addition, employers should enable more adequate dressing of workers in institutions, companies, as well as authorities and other legal entities, as well as adequate clothing in official events (sessions of parliament, government and the like), at high temperatures.

The Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delić emphasized that the recommendations have a binding character and based on them, inspection bodies may enforce enforcement.
