This program is organized by the United Nations Office for Disarmament (Code) in cooperation with the Singapore Government and is valid for one of the most relevant global training platforms of high national decision makers in the field of cyber security decisions.
Program participants are elected on the basis of strict international selection, and the call is an expression of the greatest trust in the expertise, credibility and vision of the candidate and the institution it represents.
Representatives of government from states such as Germany, India, Brazil, Egypt, Austria, Russia, Mexico, Malaysia and other UN members have participated in the previous iterations of this program. Competition for participation is extremely high, because candidates are nominated among top experts and decision makers from all over the world.
This year, Bosnia and Herzegovina has found shoulder side with the most developed countries in the world – thanks to the recognized role of IDDEE and previous successes that the Agency has achieved in the field of digital identity, data management and cyber security.
The goal of the UN-Singapore Cyber Fellowship program is to enable the highest state officials in the field of cyber security interdisciplinary training from the strategy, policy, technology and operations, and encourage international cooperation through the exchange of experiences and best practices.
The program includes interactive workshops, field visits, cyber incident management exercises and meets key decision-in-law decisions and private sectors.
For Bosnia and Herzegovina, this participation is a historical moment – for the first time, the representative of a State Agency from BiH participates in the program that is considered a nucleus for the construction of global resistance.
Badnjević’s participation in this program opens the door to direct cooperation with leading cyber security institutions, contributes to the faster establishment of the National Certification of BiH, accelerates BiH’s Harmonization Processes with International Standards Cyber Security.
Also, participation in the program strengthens the capacity of IDEEA and other institutions for efficient risk management in the digital environment, and improves the position of Bosnia and Herzegovina on a global digital resistance and trust map.
For IDDEEA as an institution, this is a certificate that the reform directions of digitization, security and international interoperability led by this agency, recognize and prices at the highest level.
For Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is an opportunity to be involved in the most modern global floors of cyber policy and security infrastructure through its representatives. And for the individual – this is a strong message that expertise, work and results can break all the boundaries, no matter which country you come from.
