Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev had a second child.
He posted a photo on social media of him posing on a hospital bed with his daughter and newborn in his arms.
Daniil and Daria had a daughter, Alisa, in October 2022.
Daria and Daniil have been married since 2018.
Daniil met his wife when they were teenagers and played competitive tennis next to each other. The two even shared a house together in Norway when they were 14 years old. Although both continued to develop their careers, Daria eventually left the sport when she was 18 after suffering multiple injuries.
In 2014, Daniil contacted Daria via Instagram messages and the two discussed tennis before eventually exchanging phone numbers.
Daria didn’t think much about it, except to wonder how far the player she once trained had taken his career.
“My mother and I even went to Moscow to watch his match,” she told Tatler Russia of their reunion.
The couple didn’t officially reunite until Daria traveled to Nice, France, to meet with a tailor.
Daniil, who was living in Antibes at the time, met Daria during her trip and the rest is history.
“I flew in for a couple of days, we had dinner, celebrated, talked. Things have kind of developed since then,” she said.
“She is one of the most important members of my team, thanks to her I became much more self-confident, I always say that the moment I proposed to her is the moment when everything got better for me,” admitted Daniil in one of the interviews.
