The Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić and the Chairman of the Assembly of Ćazim Huskic sent a greeting card on the occasion of 29. Augusta – the days of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, which states:
Dear citizens and citizens,
Kulin Ban is 29. August 1189. He released the Church of Dubrovnik who guaranteed his freedom to trade in Bosnia and this is the oldest preserved written document and confirmation of Bosnian statehood. That is why 29. August from 2013. We celebrate as a day of canton.
The Charter is a certificate that Bosnia was still in 12. The century developed with clearly established institutions. Today, more than nine centuries later, institutions are the foundation of stability, development and progress, because in the modern democratic society, they represent the guarantee of equality, fairness and rule of law.
Our responsibility, as a representative of government, is that we keep those institutions and strengthen these, and to work in the interest of all citizens, without exception. This approach leads us to the realization of development policies and projects that are conducted throughout Zenica-Doboj Canton, with the aim of creating better conditions for work, education, health and everyday life.
Dear citizens and citizens, on behalf of the Government and the Assembly of Zenica-Doboj Canton, congratulate your day of cantons, with the desire to celebrate it proudly and dignified. May this date remind us of rich history, but also motivate to build stronger institutions, a stronger economy and society of equal opportunities for everyone.
Zenica-Doboj Canton remains the driving force of the Federation of BiH – Canton of Development, Investment, but above all the place where people want to live, work and contribute to the common good.
