The event was attended by representatives of the academic community, non-governmental sector and international organizations. The publication is now available in Bosnian and English, and participants received its free copies.
Authors and editors of the publication, prof. dr. Emina Hadžić and prof. dr. Nihad Fejzić, emphasized the importance of educating and involving young people in environmental topics. As they stated, the object of the publication is to inform the public and encourage concrete actions.
– The main problem that is processed is the issue of climate change, the global phenomenon facing in 20. and 21. century, and which is so ecologically present in Bosnia and Herzegovina – said the director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, University of Sarajevo prof. dr. Rifat is short.
The promotion spoke prof. dr. Samir Đug and prof. dr. Sabina Šerić-Haračić, who emphasized that this publication processes the most current issues of the current interdisciplinary approach in the fight against climate change and the preservation of the human health in the capital in the capital of BiH.
The speakers pointed out a great influence of climate change on everyday life, and asked an important issue – what as society we can do to make the situation better.
The special focus is placed on young generations, which will make key decisions and changes in the future, with emphasizing the importance of their education and active participation in these processes.
The publication was assessed as an important contribution to education and better understanding of climate and environmental challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
– The goal was to do this for young people and that it should be in consciousness – states one of the author prof. dr. Nihad Fejzić.
The digital platform of all the materials from the summer school is especially presented, including educational content, presentations and results of the participant’s work.
The platform is conceived as a place to learn, exchange knowledge and long-term availability of information, in order to even after school young, teachers and all those interested could use content and research purposes.
