All eight teams scored goals, and three games ended in a draw. The only victory was achieved by the players of West Ham who defeated Fulham with 3:2, while the clashes between Chelsea and Bournemouth, Brentford and Manchester City and Nottingham Forest and Liverpool ended without a winner.
The most pleasant surprise of the season so far was Nottingham Forest’s hosting of the leading Liverpool, to whom they inflicted their only defeat in the Premier League so far. They didn’t succeed in that tonight, although they took the lead in the eighth minute with a goal by Chris Wood. They kept that lead until the 66th minute, in which Diogo Jota equalized just 22 seconds after entering the game. His goal proved to be final, as the meeting between the now leading two teams in England ended in a 1:1 draw.
Manchester City dropped two points at the very end of the game against Brentford. After the first half in Brentford ended goalless, “Citizens” took a 2:0 lead with goals from Phil Foden in the 66th and 78th minutes. Pep Guardiola’s men looked set to claim a fourth straight win in all competitions, but the home side were held to a draw.

First, Yoanne Wiss reduced the score to 2:1 in the 82nd minute, and then Christian Norgaard tied the score to 2:2 in the second minute of stoppage time. Wissa scored his 37th Premier League goal to become the club’s top scorer in the competition, breaking Ivan Toney’s record.
Chelsea and Bournemouth drew 2:2.

Alex Iwobi reduced the guests’ deficit in the 51st minute, but in the 67th Lucas Paqueta restored the home team’s two-goal advantage.
