As he pointed out the Chief Jukić, until such a situation was due to the non-functionality of the current majority in the Municipal Council, which consists of SNSD, Nes, independent list and individuals whose mandates were called into question following the decisions of the Central Election Commission.
– I am not happy about the fact that the budget was not adopted in the Council, because it is the most important document that should be the result of compromise between the Chief and the Council. But when it was not possible, the responsibility towards the citizens, ordered that the budget must not wait – he explained to Fena Jukić.
Total budget amount for 2025. year is 8,475,000 KM. Of this, 3,167,000 KM for capital investments, while the current transfers amounted to 1,276,000 KM.
According to the mayor, no beneficiary is denied, despite political pressures and misinformation.
– We planned 67,000 KM for sports, over 125,000 KM for young people, 70,000 KM for the Red Cross, 45,000 km for agriculture, and newspapers is 20,000. The budget is the result of numerous talks with citizens, associations, local communities and public institutions – it must be in the service of all of you, and not only politics – Jukić emphasized.
In addition to the adoption of the budget, the Municipality of Bosanski Petrovac continues with investments in the quality of life of citizens. One of the projects already implemented is the renewal and replacement of dilapidated equipment on children’s playgrounds.
– The new play will be placed on three children’s playgrounds in the urban part of the city, and the Procurement Agreement was signed with the company ‘Istrocom’ from Sanski Most. Our goal is to ensure a safe space for the game of our youngest – said Jukić.
