The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Croatian Mint have signed an agreement on the production of coins in denominations of two and five KM, thus continuing cooperation in providing domestic currency of high quality and security standards.
During the visit of the delegation of the Central Bank of BiH to the Croatian National Bank and the Mint, led by Governor Jasmina Selimović, the process of production and quality control was presented, as well as plans for further cooperation.
“With Boris Vujčić, the governor of the Croatian National Bank, they discussed key topics of common interest, including the European integration process of BiH, strengthening the institutional capacities of the Central Bank, and progress in preparations for joining the Single European Payment Area (SEPA),” the Central Bank announced.
Selimović emphasized the importance of continuous exchange of experiences with institutions that have already gone through the process of harmonization with European standards.
She stated that Croatia and the Croatian National Bank represent a valuable example of successful integration into the European financial system, and the exchange of experience, especially in the field of payment systems and regulatory harmonization, is of great importance for the Central Bank and the entire financial sector.
During the visit, cooperation in the field of supervision of payment systems, digitization of financial services, and the role of central banks in strengthening the resilience of the financial sector were also discussed.
“This visit once again confirmed the close and partnership relations between the Central and the Croatian National Bank, which continuously contribute to strengthening financial stability and the European perspective of the region,” the announcement states.
