At the start of the statements, Gratitude is expressed by Edin Forti, which, as they say, “the first initiated the regional initiative and gathered the Western Balkan Transport Ministers (WB6) around the key issue – respect for AECR agreements.”
But due to the absence of the response of European institutions and unequal treatment of professional drivers, the consortium unanimously supports the organization of the blockade 16.06.2025. year, for a minimum of 16 hours, as a warp and a legitimate form of defense of the right to work and dignity.

“What’s the matter?
The AETR agreement is the oldest international agreement on mobile workers – drivers in international transport, signed between the EU and countries outside, including Bosnia and Herzegovina and all countries WB6.
This agreement guarantees the right to work and defines:
– length of stay in the EU (2160 hours),
– Professional driver status,
– Application of smart tachographs and EU standards.
We have tachographs. We have licensed firms. We buy vehicles by EU standards. We follow the EU legislation.
That’s why we only seek what is already signed – the implementation of AETR!
The driver is not azylan, not a migrant, is not a tourist!
The driver is a logistics operator, an employee of the transport company, who performs work in accordance with European regulations and deliver goods within the supply chain.
The transport begins from BiH, ends in the EU, and then browses cyclically. It is work, not a stay in terms of migration policy.
WB6 sends a shared message to Europe:
“We are not asylumsters. We are not migrants. We are logistical providers. We are partners. We expect to treat us as partners.”
16. June 2025. year, for 16 hours, the Western Balkans send a message to European institutions to transport the technical sector, but the bloodstream of economics, trade and integration.
What to do next?
VTK BiH should call the other WB6 chambers to stop behind this initiative.
BiH Presidency Yes by 15.06.2025. Initiate a clear and unique call to the countries of the WB6 to a joint regional position.
The BiH Council of Ministers, inspired by the example of the Minister of Forte, Minister Konaković and the Minister of Basketball, to strengthen the international signal according to the EU – AETR is a valid agreement, respect it!
Message to citizens:
This protest is not against you. This is an emergency protest because:
– We can open 15,000 jobs if AECR applies,
But if not – the silent emigration and extinguishing sector begins.
