The Assembly and the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton marked on a series of activities, the 29th. August – the day of Zenica-Doboj Canton.
After the delegation of the Assembly and Government, led by the Chairman Huskić and Prime Ministers, paid the flowers to the central memorial to the fighters and martials of the “Stone Spricer” for representatives of the Association of the Borage Population of the RBiH Army and HVO from this canton.
Then the ceremonial session of the Assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton was held, on which public recognitions were granted. Matthew Field, former United Kingdom Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Šekib Avdagić, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.

Canton plaques for 2025. The year were given: Belma Pojskić, Josip Dujmović, Suvad Kapetanović and Rotary Club Zenica.
Josip Dujmović, journalist, a cultural worker from Zenica, said that no one of the winners do so because of the rewards, but the emotion, hearts, and that it is nice to recognize that they worked and in this way valorized their work.
SUVAD KAPETANOVIĆ, the founder of Rugby Club “Steel” Zenica and “Father” Ragbi in BiH, was awarded for life’s life contribution. He said this recognition for the past, but to hope for the future – that the new generations will return Rugby where it deserves to be, to reach the heights that Rugby Club reached in the former state.
Recognition for Prof. Dr. Belmo Pojjic, who is currently participating in the Congress of Cardiologists in Europe in Madrid, took over its colleague, professor from the University of Zenica, Dževad Drino.

Prime Minister Nezir Pivić pointed out the importance of the Charter of Kulin Ban. He said that the Charter is one of the most important moments in BiH history, as well as the moment that reminds us of the rich tradition of statehood and statehood in this area.
– That Charter, though someone today may seem like a paper only, in his time was much more. It was a certificate that Bosnia was 12th. The century – with a clearly established institutions, legal system and diplomatic relations. It was a state that respected justice, freedom and development. The state in which the trade was free, and people could live in safety and dignity. Today, more than eight centuries later, this message is just as important – if not more important. We live in a period of great challenges and changes, but also the opportunity we can use – Prime Minister Pivić emphasized.
