Napoli earned 9.5 million euros by winning the Italian Super Cup, while Bologna, which was defeated in the final in Riyadh, will receive 6.7 million euros, Italian media announced.
Also, Napoli will earn another million and a half euros from the friendly match they should play with the winner of the Saudi Arabian Super Cup. Napoli defeated Bologna 2-0 in the final of the Super Cup tournament on Monday with goals from David Neres in the 39th and 57th minutes. It was the second trophy for Napoli in this calendar year, after securing the title of Italian champion in May, reports Hina.
The defeated semi-finalists of the Super Cup, AC Milan and Inter, will each receive 2.4 million euros, while the remaining 16 Serie A clubs will share two million euros.
The total prize pool of the Italian Supercup for this year was 23 million euros.
