We transfer their reaction below:
Through our 26 years of work and 102 humanitarian missions, BIMA has become synonymous with volunteerism, sacrifice and medical care directed towards those who need it most.
Our mission was always clear – help a man, without politics, without interest, without expecting any reward except that comes from the heart.
All we did, we were doing exclusively voluntarily. Everything we achieved, we have achieved thanks to the voluntary work of people who believe in humanity. No matter the challenges, we never turned off that road.
In this context, we want to react to the statements of the mayor of Sarajevo, Mr. Predrag Puharić, who made publications on the review of the decision on the awarding of the sixpril.
If something is reassessed, then let’s re-examine the truth. May it be reviewed as possible for judicial verdicts to ignore, and the volunteer work of people who have helped diseases selflessly and endangered in question.
In the attachment, we submit a first instance verdict, which clearly shows that we have undergone through the legal process and that the charges were unfounded. The innocence adventure, one of the basic legal principles, in this case is completely neglected.
On the other hand, while the legal decision is clearly ignored, difficult and unfounded charges are given to people who have dedicated their lives for medicine and humanitarian work for decades.
More than 300 doctors and 300 medical workers who are part of the BiMA today are placed on the pillar shame – without basis, without evidence, without any need.
The beam is not a policy dealing with politics.
The beam is an organization that entered each forgotten place in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We were where many turned their heads.
We were with those who were left, helped mothers, returnees, children who did not have basic health care.
We visited Bratunac, Srebrenica, Visegrad, Foco, Kostajnica, Bosnian New, Prijedor, Prnjavor, Banja Luka – and many many places where our help was needed. And we didn’t ask for the name, nation, faith.
Just for pain and a way to help.
That is why we are worried about when our work, which was conducted exclusively by human principles, calls into question.
If it is already insisting on the review of decisions, then it should be re-examined by ignoring court judgments, selectively presenting information and attempts to belittle volunteer work to political statements.
The beam is neither an organization nor an institution. The bima is an idea. The idea that no one should be left. The idea that health must be above politics. The idea that a man must help a man.
In the time when the most important thing is to ensure stability and trust in health institutions, we invite responsibility and objectivity. This is not just our story – this is the story of all those whose bima was the hand of saving, and all those who believe that humanity cannot and may not be questioned.
