– Every year in the second month, the global entrepreneurship monitor publishes its results, and according to them, in the number of new businesses (18-64), in the total number of people, BiH is the first, not only in the countries of a similar size, but first in Europe. We have the most reasonable population. On the other hand, when he is viewed by the assessment of the conditions when it comes to entrepreneurship, we are last in the world of 56 countries – Professor Domljan said.
BiH has an index 3.4 and is in the last place, while the best place in the world for business is united Arab Emirates with index 7.1.
– The ambience is completely unfavorable for entrepreneurship, so it takes a lot to be done. Early entrepreneurs do not turn into a “in-time business” because for three and a half years did not stop on their feet and we are below the average of its comparator group. We need to work a lot on financial support for businesses, on consulting and mentoring support, and especially women entrepreneurs – the domjljan has listed.
GEM in its analyzes has 13 conditions, and BiH has a satisfactory condition in just two, while only three countries meet all 13 conditions.
For Bosnia and Herzegovina, a large problem is demographic opportunities.
– Nothing can happen to one country than a drop in the population. It is not a problem that the number of deaths is greater than the number of births, it happens in more than a hundred countries in the world. We are a “supplementary problem” very big migration. The problem is that the workers leave and take their families, so half a million people have gone in the last 10 years. We also lost customers, also suffer from the side of production and on the side of consumption – warns domjan and adds that the only solution increase productivity, competitiveness and export.
Executive Director of the Underwear Center Alisa Gekić pointed out how, however, it is not all that black and that there is some positive indicators.
– What is positive is that the results of the world report on the status of entrepreneurship show that some progress is seen. There is still a need to improve business conditions. As for legal regulations, it is necessary to continue to work on the harmonization of legal regulations in BiH, harmonization between and within the entities and harmonization in accordance with EU practice – Gekić concluded.
