The security situation was discussed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as an extremely important role of EUFOR in preserving peace and stability in our country.
Dr. Bećirović, the EUFOR commander pointed for the importance of EUFOR efficiently and decisively conducted his mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina. EUFOR basic tasks are the preservation of independence, sovereignty and state borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as continuous support to the High Representative of the International Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina. EUFOR has a full mandate to take all necessary steps with the aim of preventing the violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitutional Order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dr. Bećirović pointed out that EUFOR, NATO and the state authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina must have intensive communication and keep the peace, safety and state of Bosnia and Herzegovina with all available funds. He also warned that the adventurous anti-day action of the management of the RS Bosnian Entity should not be undervalued.
Major Major Florin-Marian Barbu said that EUFOR, in accordance with its mandate, will continue to provide full support to peace, stability and security throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that one of the goals of EUFOR is the insurance of peaceful and stable Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dr. Bećirović emphasized that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the support of international partners, continue to work on the protection of the constitutional order, the safety of all citizens and strengthening democratic values. Among other things, dr. Bećirović said that the full membership of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the EU and NATO is the best framework for permanent safety and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the region.
During the conversation, a member of the Presidency of BiH dr. Denis Bećirović wished the new EUFOR commander successful mandate in the mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed readiness to continue quality cooperation with EUFOR.
