On that occasion, he spoke to Mufti Banja Luka in Mufti, Banja Luka Ismail ef. SMAJLOVIC, congratulated Kurban-Bajram and visited the Ferhadi mosque, one of the most important religious, cultural and architectural features of this city.
During the visit, Bećirović, especially pointed out the importance of preserving communion, mutual respect and dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a common homeland of all its citizens and peoples and we all have reason to be proud of our homeland. It is the obligation of all officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina to work on the prevention of hate speech and construction of cohesive and inclusive society. Joint life in Bosnia and Herzegovina has existed for centuries and it is a great wealth of our country. Joint life does not mean just a quiet existence by each other, but a joint life – based on solidarity, understanding and mutual respect. In this sense, the dialogue should be viewed as a live and dynamic process that requires constant attention and nurturing.
Bećirović said that in years and decades we have to strengthen the awareness of the belonging to the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina in all citizens and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, regardless of all our differences. This consciousness is necessary for the survival and development of our country. That consciousness will be stronger if the state is more consistent to respect human rights and freedoms of each individual.
Mufti Banja Luka Ismail ef. Smajlovic expressed gratitude to Dr. Bećirović on visits and messages of support and encouragement, pointing out that I imported all officials at all levels in Bosnia and Herzegovina send messages of peace, respect and solidarity.
