Barcelona brings in a great reinforcement and it’s completely free

The reputable Spanish Mundo Deportivo brings the news that Barcelona is very close to agreeing the first major reinforcement for next season.

The new Barca player should be Jonathan Tah (28) from Bayer Leverkusen, who could arrive at the Nou Camp for free.

Mundo Deportivo states that Tah has already made the decision to come to Barcelona and that Bayern was the only club that tried to enter the race for that transfer. Real Madrid also showed interest, but they did not hand the 28-year-old a financial package to persuade him to come.

In order to realize that job, Barcelona started working on organizing the departures of two of their players. Since the summer, there should be no Erik García and Andreas Christensen in her dressing room.

Tah has known Barca’s coach Hansi Flick since he was in charge of the German national team. He is an indispensable part of Bayer’s starting line-up with 25 appearances for the club this season.

He has been in Leverkusen since 2015 and has played 378 games for the club so far. He scored 16 and assisted 12 goals, and Transfermarkt values him at 30 million euros.

Given that his contract with Bayer Leverkusen runs until the summer, and that he has not and probably will not sign a new one, Tah could be the real deal for Barcelona.
