“Unfortunately, today we witnessed the events that we don’t want to look at in our Mostar again.
In the media, the information appeared in how the group of masked young men beat the high school students returning from the sports competition.
The sport should connect people, especially young people, not to be an occasion or an alibi for hooliganism.
As president of the City Council of the City of Mostar, we strongly condemn this rank, as well as all the previous ones that have happened, and which we witnessed previous weeks.
These are the scenes that the absolute majority of citizens do not want to look in their city. We want peace, stability and development. We want to create new and better opportunities for young people in Mostar.
Today, together with the Mayor, in the City Hall, the University “Džemal Bijedic” signed an agreement that provides for the practice of students in urban services, which should be the news dominating among young people, not this other that has found us all.
Once again, I invite all the citizens of Mostar, especially young people, to be the proactive members of society that will contribute to the development of our city. And this is my message to them – one day you will be your parents, then the most important things will be a peaceful environment and stability for you and your children, “Rahimic said.
