In the Sarajevo cathedral of the heart of Jesus, the ceremonial Easter Mass was led by the Archbishop of Metropolita Vrhbosan and the Apostolic Manager of the Military Ordinariate of BiH, Msgr. dr. Tomo Vukšić.
In his sermon, Archbishop reminded himself that in 2025. year in the Catholic Church dedicated to Christian Nadi and emphasized the role of believers as Witness Nada.
– We believe in the resurrection of the body and the life of eternal life – said, among other things, Vukšić gathered by believers.
Although Easter always falls on Sunday, the celebration extends for several days, starting on Thursday night with the Mass of the Lord’s dinner. Preparations for the Feast begins with Lent – the period of fasting, prayer and penance – which ends with a flowering, ie a large week. This last week includes a big Thursday, a big Friday and a great Saturday, known as sacred three-day.
In the days preceding Easter, believers are preparing through numerous customs. One of the most recognizable is the coloring of Easter eggs. Sometimes eggs have traditionally been afraid in the red harbor shells to get a characteristic dark red shade, while various techniques and colors are used today.
Easter is also rich in symbols – from writers, rabbits and chickens to candy and various delicacies – that vary from country to country, but everyone is a common spirit of community, hope and renovation.
