Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, who was injured in a car accident on Monday, left a hospital in Lagos, Nigeria on the last day of 2025.
The boxer’s trainers were killed in the accident Son of Ghami and Latif Latz Ayodele.
The vehicle Joshua was in crashed into a parked lorry on a main road near Lagos and the British heavyweight was extremely lucky to suffered only minor injuries. He left the hospital after two days and will continue treatment at home, reports Gol.hr.
Joshua, who was born in Watford, north-west London, to Nigerian parents, was holidaying in Nigeria after beating Jake Paul in an exhibition fight on December 19 in Miami.
The former Olympic champion will face his compatriot and former world champion next year Tyson Fury. Joshua’s last fight before Paul was last September, when he lost to fellow countryman Daniel Dubois in the fifth round.
