The Sarajevo team defeated the Slovenian Helios Domžale away from home with 76:73 in an uncertain game that was decided at the very end.
After the first quarter, Bosnia led with 22:18, but Helios managed to turn it around before going to rest and went to the break with a 35:33 lead.
Bosnia led for most of the third part and the advantage went up to +9, but Helios came back and in the end entered the last ten minutes with Bosnia leading 52:51.
The series of the home team followed, reaching 61:52, and then 63:54. In those moments, it didn’t seem as if Bosnia could turn things around, but the advantage of the Slovenians gradually melted and Bosnia took the lead at the end of the game.
At the end of the match, the hero was Haris Delalić, who tied two important three-pointers and brought Bosnia the victory.
The most efficient player of Bosnia was Petar Kovačević with 14 points, and the aforementioned Haris Delalić added 12. Underwood had 10, Vrabac and West 9 each, and Marinković 8 points.
Bosnia thus opened the competition in group F with a victory and now has a 1-0 record, the same as Zlatibor Čajetina, which defeated Podgorica 72:70 away. The best two teams will qualify for the semifinals of ABA League 2.
