All members of the United Nations Security Council, in addition to the United States, said Hungarians in Gaza “crisis was caused by human action” and warned that the use of hunger as war weapons is prohibited by international humanitarian law.
In the joint statement, 14 members of the Security Council called for an emergency, unconditional and permanent truce, holding all the hostages held by Hamas and other groups, significantly increasing the Gaza, and to remove all restrictions on the delivery of assistance.
We reminded, the UN Human Rights Officer Volker Turk said the phenomenon of hunger in the North Gaza “directly consequence of the actions of the Israeli government”, and that death deaths could represent a war crime.
The United Nations officially declared the epidemic of hunger in Gaza last Friday, first in the Middle East, and their experts claim that 500,000 people face “catastrophic” hunger.
