Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has announced that he has ended his cooperation with long-time coach Juan Carlos Ferrer, with whom he worked for more than seven years.
U emotional announcement on social media Alcaraz pointed out how the decision was not easy and thanked Ferrer for everything they went through together during their journey together.
After more than seven years together, Juanki and I decided to finish our story together in the role of coach and player. It’s hard for me to write, but I feel very gratefulsaid Alcaraz, reports HRT.
He added that they were together turned boyhood dreams into realityemphasizing that the collaboration began when he was still a child, and was marked by numerous successes and memories, on and off the field.
We made it get to the very top and I feel that if our sporting paths had to part, then it had to be from that very point, from the place we always aspired toAlcaraz pointed out.
The Spanish tennis player particularly emphasized Ferrer’s influence on his personal development.

During their collaboration, Alcaraz won 24 titlesof which six Grand Slam titles, was the number one tennis player in the world for 50 weeks, and won Olympic silver.
Ferrero, also a former world “number 1”, announced himself with a message on social networks.
I wish I could go on. I am convinced that good memories and good people are found again and again on the same road. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, wrote Ferrero.
This year, Ferrero, together with Samuel Lopez, was declared coach of the year, and he is the only one who received this award twice, after winning it in 2022. Lopez will now take on the role of Alcaraz’s head coach and will accompany him on tour in Australia and New Zealand.
