American basketball player Jalyn McCreary, one of the best players of HKK Široki last season, continues his career in the Romanian giant U-Banca Transilvania.

The American basketball player, who was one of the most important players of Marijan Bagarić’s team last season, signed for U-Banca Transilvaniaa club from Cluj-Napoca and one of the strongest Romanian basketball teams.
The Romanian club announced that McCreary is coming after the season in which he won with Siroki ABA 2 leaguethat is, the second regional competition of the ABA League.
It’s McCreary arrived in Široka in September 2025after spending the previous season in Estonian Rapla. Then he signed a contract until the end of the 2025/26 season, and soon became one of the the most consistent players in the team.

Before coming to Europe, he played in American college basketball, where he played for South Carolina Gamecocks, South Florida Bulls and Mercer Bears. In total, he played 118 games in the NCAA League.
He had his first professional European engagement in Rapla, Estonia, where he scored an average of 26 games 19 points and had 7 jumps by meeting.
