Ljutić took advantage of starting number 2 and the fact that the track was set by her coach and father Amir Ljutić, and achieved the best time of the first run with a brilliant drive.
In the second lap, she was brave, withstood a dangerous situation in the middle of the track and won with a huge 1.75 seconds lead.
Behind Ljutić, German Lena Dürr remained in second place, 1.75 seconds behind, and third was Austrian Katharina Liensberger (+1.85).
Zrinka is now the third slalom athlete in the world with 209 points behind leading Swiss Camille Rast (255) and Dürr (235). In the overall standings, Ljutić is second with 334 points behind Rast (351).
This was Croatia’s first victory in women’s skiing at the World Cup after more than 18 years. The last one was achieved by Janica Kostelić in March 2006 with a celebration in Are in the giant slalom.
