Damir Milanović is the new head coach of NK Široki Brijeg, it was confirmed on Thursday from the club from Pecare.
As previously announced by the portal Jabuka.tv, former assistant coach and associate of former head coach Dean Klafurić, will take over the Širokobrijejan team.

Let us recall that in the previous period, Milanović was assistant coach in the professional staff of Dean Klafurić, a he left the club in August last year.

During Klafurić’s engagement, Milanović was his key collaboratorbut he left the professional staff in August and before the expected end of the cooperation left Pecare, and the reasons for the termination of cooperation were not published at that time.

Klafurić arrived in Široka Brijeg in December 2024 taking over the role of head coach and sports director for half a season, and he had a contract until the summer of 2026.
The club from Pecare led in 43 official matches in the BiH Cup and BiH WWin League, achieving 17 wins, 14 losses and 12 draws.
The last time under his leadership Široki Brijeg celebrated in the 1/16 finals of the BiH Cup in a match against Gradine on October 28, and they recorded their last victory in the WWin league in the frame 11th car played on October 19 against Miner on Pecara.
