The President of the Organizing Committee of the event, Mufti Travnik dr. Ahmed-ef. Adilović, in addressing those present, pointed out the centuries-old value of Ajvatovica as a symbol of spirituality and the identity of Bosniaks.
– We show that we have been good and honest people, noble heart and good soul for centuries, because we learn so our faith, emphasizing the importance of preserving identity, not only because of the past but also the future.
This year’s manifestation will themselves will themselves genocide in Srebrenica, but will pay special attention to the suffering of the people in Gaza. According to Muftija Adilović, a total of 74 program facilities are planned, including 35 cultural, 16 religious, nine sports, seven educational and seven humanitarian activities.
Mufti also announced a newspaper in this year’s religious program – the main imams will be Hatibi on the juma spreads across the muftition, and the central ceremony will be organized by the traditional religious program in the Hasan Kjafija Pruščak. It has also been announced that the central Mevluda ceremony, on the occasion of the new Hijrethic year, will be held in Travnik.
Member of the Presidency of BiH Denis Bećirović, Mehmed Pargan, said we are currently living when the world is changing rapidly and that time to turn to ourselves, its strength, strengthening our state and institutions. Today we are proud to say that we have learned a lot and build a state at all levels.
– I want to point out the importance of the Islamic community at all levels. It clearly opted for strengthening the society of a multiethnic character. Ajvatovica reminds us how important communion is and how necessary, everyone is to keep one rope. Keeping up with each other, we must build and strengthen BiH society, we must preserve freedom and build your position and in the east and west – said Pargan.
The Federal Minister of Refugees and Displaced persons Nerin Dizdar said Ajvatovic is a symbol of the guardianship of Bosnian culture and its identity.
– In the long history of Ajvatovice, there were more decades, years, when there was no official marking. This is certainly one of the oldest manifestations, not only in Bosnia and Herzegovina but also beyond. Ajvatovica is the symbol of the guardianship of Bosnian culture, identity and, in fact, the centuries-old, Millennium history of Bosnia that survives with its tradition, with their own people, authorities and empires – added Dizdar.
The Prime Minister of the Central Bosnia Canton pointed out that Ajvatovica, also, has an important social function because he provides an opportunity to strengthen interpersonal relations, and to strengthen the sense of solidarity among all people, no matter where they come from.
– Ajvatovic, as a centuries long, today is a free environment for which we have been guided by themselves. This is where we show the religious sense in the spirit of Ajvatovica, in its full, original form and confirm the democracy of society capable of applying the highest standards of the European path we strive for – Prime Minister Lendo pointed out.
This event, in addition to religious features, also has a cultural and educational character and is an example of how a quality way can be harmonized by religious and secular needs of the population and coexist with full respect for the value of faith, tradition and modern needs of people.
The event lasts from 13. to 29. June 2025. year, and the central program will be held on Sunday, 29. June, starting at 11.00 on the plateau of Ajvatovice, after traditional prayer on Ajvaz-Dedina rock.
Ajvatovica is the largest Muslim Half of Europe and one of the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, it is a place of spiritual meeting of tens of thousands of believers from the country, region, Europe and Asia, deeply woven into Bosniak identity and tradition.
