The first victim noticed a passerby 13. Augusta near the bridge in Choisy-Le-Roi, southeastern suburbs of the capital. On the same day, the police searching the area found three more bodies in the water nearby.
The prosecution said that one of the victims was strangled, and that the second had visible traces of violence, the BBC reports.
The suspect is in custody in Paris. The police did not give any details about him nor for how many killings are examined.
According to prosecutors, the first body was short in water and was identified as a local 40-year-old man.
Other three bodies were found ‘in a very advanced stage of decay’, they added.
The Prosecution emphasized that there is no evidence of the association for the victims for now. They could be submerged in different places upstream and worn throughout the bridge in Choisy.
