– For the fourteenth year we are gathering at this event, organized by the Mostar Bicycle Club and the HerzegovinaBike association. Our goal is to cheer up the little ones with sweets and gifts, we are making a popular circuit around the city along a well-established route – said the president of the Mostar Cycling Club, Josip Barišić.
Cyclists dressed in red suits and equipped with sweet gifts will ride a circle around the city, spreading the holiday spirit.
– Every year there are 200-300 participants, from the youngest to the elderly. I think everyone is equally happy to participate in this holiday event. The children especially cheered up, sometimes with gifts, sometimes with ho-ho shouts – added Barišić.
Cyclists gathered on the plateau in front of the Croatian Home of Herceg Stjepan Kosača, and among them was Anita Markić, who came with her children.
– I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day to go for a ride with the children, and I think this will be a nice memory for them too. Until now I have not had the opportunity to participate, this is the first time. Now that the children have grown a little, it’s easier – said Markić.
Santa’s bike ride is organized as part of the Advent program in Mostar, and Sunday and nice weather were the perfect invitation to participate in this now traditional event.
