Iron ore falls on China’s real estate woes
Iron ore futures fell to two-week lows on Monday as a series of data from top consumer China highlighted lingering weakness in the housing market, raising concerns about demand for a key steelmaking ingredient.
The most-traded May iron ore contract on China’s Dalian Commodity Exchange ended morning trading down 2.8 percent at 792 yuan ($113.73) per metric ton, hitting its lowest level since Jan. 6, ABC said.
