Nine people died in a fire that broke out on one of the upper floors of the JU Dom pensionera in Tuzla on Tuesday around 20:50. Several people were hospitalized in UKC Tuzla. The fire was extinguished at 10 p.m.
At about 8:50 p.m., it was reported to the Operations Center of the Police Administration of the MUP TK via the PS Center on-call service that a fire had broken out in the Tuzla Pension Home. Teams from the Tuzla Professional Fire Department are on the ground to put out the fire, as well as emergency services and police.
Police patrols of PS Center, PS East, PS West, the rapid intervention team of the Special Support Unit of UP MUP TK, firefighters of PVJ Tuzla, SHMP of Dom zdravlja Tuzla were immediately sent to the scene to evacuate users of the Retirement Home.
˝In order to help with the evacuation and extinguishing of the fire, members of the Srebrenik, Živinice, Kalesija and Lukavac Medical Centers were called and some are already on the ground, as well as the SHMP of the Srebrenik, Lukavac, Živinice and Kalesija Health Centers. For now, we do not have information about the injured. The fire was localized at 10 p.m., said Adnana Sprečić, spokeswoman for the TK MUP Police Department.
˝One admission to the Pulmonary Clinic due to carbon monoxide inhalation. Three patients are in the Internal Medicine Clinic due to carbon monoxide poisoning, two are placed in the intensive care unit, one is currently in the outpatient clinic, processing is in progress. “Patients are still arriving,” said the spokeswoman of UKC Tuzla, Ersija Aščerić Mujedinović.
