Authorized officials of the Administration for Indirect Taxation, Department for Enforcement of Regulations, Group for the Prevention of Smuggling and Misdemeanors, RC Tuzla, in the operational action codenamed “ŠTEK”, which is the result of independent operational-tactical work, located the object and identified the legal entity in the area of RC Tuzla, where a large amount of mobile phones smuggled into the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina was found.
The latest models of mobile phones were originally packed in cardboard boxes with photos of mock-up phones and protective glasses, which did not suggest that they contained expensive mobile phones. The legal and responsible person did not have any documentation about the origin, i.e. proof that it passed the regular customs procedure when entering the customs area of BiH. The facility also found goods that are prohibited for import without the appropriate approval of the competent Agency (optical sights, goods for medical purposes), ready for further distribution, for which the owner also did not have any documentation on the origin.
During the operation, 546 mobile phones (Galaxy S 25 Ultra, iPHONE 16 ProMAX, S 24 ULTRA, etc.), 70 watches (Apple) and other prohibited goods were found. The total value of temporarily confiscated goods is 450,000 KM.
Legally prescribed measures and actions were taken against the perpetrators of these illegalities.
