The works that, in addition to the construction of the tram line, will be carried out relate to the relocation and protection of water pipes, and the installation of protection for the gas pipeline, in order to prevent the scenario of digging and lifting the railway in a critical place, if the existing pipes burst or leak in the future.
The works at the last intersection mark the beginning of the connection of the tram line with the turnpike at Ilidža, which marks another big day for the canton’s public transport.
The works are demanding, both because of their complexity and because of the very location where the works will be performed, and there will be a significant change in the traffic regime in that part.
Vehicular traffic will be established from the roundabout towards Butmir on the left side of the road in two directions.
Public transportation that runs along the route will use a modified, adjusted route during the works.
– The KS Ministry of Transport will be continuously available to support both the contractor, transporters and citizens. The situation on the ground will be monitored and accordingly, in coordination with the MUP, traffic will be adjusted to the works. The Ministry of Transport thanks all citizens for the understanding and patience they will have during the execution of works on this, the last intersection of the future tram line – according to the relevant ministry, the KS Protocol and Press Service announced.
