The Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton announced to N1 that in the case related to the death of Amira Selimović from Tuzla, the final prosecutor’s decision has not yet been made and that this case is being dealt with by experts from Serbia.

Namely, as it was announced, the expert reports that were done earlier – that of the family in the civil proceedings and the one that was done on the order of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Turkey – are contradictory, so now a new one is being done, and that in Serbia.
The Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton has announced that the final prosecutorial decision has not yet been made in the case related to the death of Amira Selimović from Tuzla and that experts from Serbia are dealing with this case.
Namely, as we were told, the expert reports that were done earlier – that of the family in the civil proceedings and the one that was done by order of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Turkey – are contradictory, so now a new one is being done, and that in Serbia.
“In the criminal case of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton, which refers to the death, no final prosecutorial decision was made. The acting prosecutor reviewed the file of the civil procedure of the Tuzla Municipal Court, which refers to compensation for damages, and in the criminal case, the expert opinion of the team of experts of the Clinical Center of Banja Luka, which was carried out in the civil procedure, was taken into account as evidence.
“Given that the aforementioned expert opinion in the civil proceedings and the expert opinion performed by the expert team of KCUS Sarajevo on the order of the Prosecutor’s Office are essentially contradictory, the prosecutor issued an order for a comprehensive medical expert opinion to the expert team of the Forensic Medicine Board of a Medical Faculty in the Republic of Serbia, which is ongoing,” they told N1.
Also, at the end, they add that after the submission and analysis of the findings and opinions of the expert team from Serbia, the final prosecutorial decision will be made in this case.
We would like to remind you that the Municipal Court in Tuzla accepted the expert testimony from Banjaluka in the re-litigation procedure and on the basis of it passed a verdict in which the doctors of the UCC Tuzla were found guilty of the death of Amira Selimović, as her husband Senad Selimović told N1.
“It was established that death occurred as a result of a series of omissions in her treatment, as a result of the gross negligence of the doctors on duty and the medical error they committed. It was also established that Alma Halilbašić-Smajić, three months after starting her first employment relationship, regardless of the available findings of the Emergency Department (irregular EKG, heart rate 115, oxygen saturation 80%), which indicated that this was an extremely urgent patient with severe with hypoxia/hypoxemia, which required immediate treatment and hospitalization, decided to prescribe symptomatic therapy (infusion and Controloc for stomach ailments) and discharge Amira, all of which indicates insufficient expertise in treatment and treatment by Dr. Halilbašić-Smajić, he explained earlier Selimović.
