The development of local infrastructure and the strengthening of the capacities of cities and municipalities remain among the priorities of the Una-Sana Canton Government, which made a decision on the distribution of capital grants to other levels of government from the Budget for 2025, with a total value of 2.5 million KM.
The decision was made on the proposal of the Prime Minister of USK Mustafa Ružnić, and the funds were distributed according to a public call for projects of local self-government units.
The largest amount, 500,000 KM, went to the Municipality of Velika Kladuša, while the cities of Cazin, Bihać and Bosanska Krupa received 400,000 KM each. Sanski Most was awarded 350,000 KM, Kljuc 300,000 KM, and Bosanski Petrovac 150,000 KM.
– This is a program of support to the municipalities and cities of the Una-Sana Canton for the financing of infrastructure projects of importance for local communities. I’m sorry that Bužim Municipality is not included in this distribution due to technically incorrect documentation, but I hope that with a better application, it will be among the beneficiaries of these funds already in the next cycle – said Ružnić.
The USK government also approved the text of the contract on the allocation of funds, and the Prime Minister of the Canton is authorized to sign contracts with beneficiaries.
In addition, the USK Government approved 614,500 KM for public utility companies, according to the program of the Ministry of Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection. The funds are intended for the rehabilitation and improvement of waste disposal sites in Bihać, Cazin, Bosanska Krupa, Ključ and Sanski Most.
An additional 54,000 KM was allocated from the budget of the same ministry for grants to cities and municipalities for the preparation of planning documents.
