Our students won a total of five medals – two gold and three silver.
The most successful competitor was Vuk Janković, who won first place with a maximum of 40 points. According to the official results, he was the only competitor in the official competition who achieved the maximum number of points.
The gold medal was also won by Dino Ahić, a student of the first grade of high school, while the silver medals went to Andrej Krčmar, Harun Memić and Adnan Osmić. The sixth member of the team, Faris Shabeti, remained within reach of the bronze medal.
The national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina took second place as a team among 11 countries in the official competition, behind the Turkish team.
This is our best team ranking in history at any Olympics, and the first time we have achieved a ranking among the 3 best teams at the Balkaniad.
The team leaders were Admir Beširević and Jovan Vuković.
The Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton and the Republic Pedagogical Institute of Republika Srpska provided financial support for the students’ trip to the competition.
