The Israeli military carried out another wave of bombing overnight, reportedly targeting Iran’s ballistic missile stockpiles and launch sites, as well as its air defense systems.
More than 200 people were killed across Iran, according to the Red Crescent. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps says it will respond to the supreme leader’s death with the most destructive operation in its history.
Air raid sirens sounded again in Israel this morning as Iran continues to fire ballistic missiles. Almost all of them were shot down by the Israeli air defense system.
But some still managed: a woman was killed in a rocket attack in Tel Aviv, the first Israeli victim in this war. Emergency services say another 120 people were injured, most of them lightly.
Heavy strikes on the UAE
The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates announced that Iran fired 137 missiles and 209 drones at the country on Saturday.
At least one person was killed and seven were injured during what authorities called an “incident” at Abu Dhabi airport.
The airport in Dubai, the busiest in the world when it comes to international traffic, was also affected.

Iran has launched a new, violent wave of attacks across the Middle East, and world news teams on the ground are witnessing a series of powerful explosions in several capitals and major cities in the region.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has confirmed the launch of the “sixth wave” of missile and drone attacks, which are primarily aimed at Israel and US military bases in the region, the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim reports.

Attack on Israel
The Israeli military said it had identified a mass influx of missiles launched from Iran, and that the defense systems were in full operational capacity. Air raid sirens blare constantly across central and southern Israel, and citizens are in shelters.
Explosions and fire in Dubai
News crews in the United Arab Emirates heard multiple loud explosions. Debris from an airstrike over the Business Bay business center caused a major fire at the city’s main commercial port, Jebel Ali. Thick clouds of smoke rose above the famous skyline of Dubai.
Injured in Doha
Several loud detonations were reported in the capital of Qatar. The Ministry of the Interior of Qatar confirmed that at least 16 people were injured, while in some parts of the country “limited material damage” was caused.
Intercepts over Bahrain
Bahrain’s air defenses had their hands full, intercepting at least 45 missiles and nine armed drones. Geolocated video footage from the ground shows thick smoke rising in the immediate vicinity of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the capital, Manama.
Black smoke at Erbil airport
Iraq was not spared from the strikes either. Photos and videos show thick black smoke and fire at Erbil airport. The Iranian news agency Fars confirmed that extremely strong explosions were heard in this Iraqi city.
Media agencies and intelligence services are currently working to verify dozens of additional reports of explosions that have also been reported in other Middle Eastern cities.
