Arrested former director of JU “Directorate of Regional Roads USK” Amir Osmancevic and acting director Edin Keškić, on suspicion of abusing their official position and authority, were handed over to the USK Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office for further processing and processing.
As announced by the USK Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, Osmancevic and Keškić are suspected of having committed the criminal offense of abuse of position or authority under Article 383 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After their arrest, they were brought to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Una-Sana Canton this morning, where they were subjected to criminal processing.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the suspects, using their official position and acting contrary to the interests of the service they performed, agreed on the asphalting of a local road in a settlement in the area of Kljuc municipality with one business company, even though they knew that the management, construction, reconstruction, maintenance and protection of local roads and city streets are not within the competence of the Directorate of Regional Roads of the USK.
The Prosecution further states that the amount of KM 56,145.02 was paid to the company for the said works, although, according to the established facts, the actual value of the works was KM 19,789.20. In this way, damage of 36,355.82 KM was caused to the Directorate of Regional Roads of the USK, while an illegal property benefit in the same amount was obtained from the company.
