European stock markets started the new trading month with modest growth, while the prices of gold and wheat also recorded an increase.
Analysts warn that traders expect key decisions from central banks this week, as well as announcements of quarterly company results, reports CNBC.
Frankfurt’s DAX index jumped 0.72 percent to 24,128.68 points at 9:15 a.m., France’s CAC 40 was up 0.09 percent to 8,128.49 points, Britain’s FTSE 100 was up 0.18 percent to 9,735.00 points, while Moscow’s MOEX index jumped 1.35 percent to 2,566.81 points.
In the US markets, the Dow Jones gained 0.69 percent to 47,562.87 points, the S&P 500 gained 0.61 percent to 6,840.20 points, and the Nasdaq jumped 1.35 percent to 23,724.96 points.
European gas derivatives for November on the TTF exchange were opened at a price of 32 euros per megawatt-hour.
Crude oil rose to $61.19 a barrel, while Brent reached $65.01.
The price of gold rose to $4,014.59 an ounce, and wheat was sold at $5.4016 a bushel (27.216 kg).
On the Forex currency exchange, the euro strengthened against the dollar by 0.33 percent and is 1.1527 dollars.
