According to police, two people were killed in a city hall building in the Czech Republic on Monday.
Shooting in the village of Hribska
A woman was killed and at least four people were injured, including a policeman, in a shooting at the town hall in Hribčka, in the Decin region in the Czech Republic, reports the Czech portal tn.nova.cz.
The attacker was killed by police officers.
“Currently, all available forces and resources have been dispatched to the village of Hribská in the Dečin Region, to the town hall, following a report of a shooting,” police posted on social network X. Shortly after 11 a.m., police posted:
“The attacker has been eliminated! Three people and one police officer were injured. We will update the information.”
According to the police, two people died in the building.
“The building is safe. At this moment, we can confirm that one woman and the attacker are dead,” it was announced.
The police have also established a crisis intervention line.
The first police patrols, intervention and special units, traffic police and criminal investigators were dispatched to the scene.
The attacker is dead, there is no further danger
“The building is secured and there should be no further danger at the moment,” the police added.
Emergency medical teams and an ambulance helicopter are on the ground.
Spokesman Prokop Voleník said that at the moment there is no more information about the tragic event.
“I am carefully following the information about the shooting at the city office in Chřibské. The situation is serious, but according to my information there is no further danger, the attacker is dead. I decided to go to the scene of the incident,” said Interior Minister Lubomír Metnar.
