By presenting this valuable donation, Raiffeisen further confirms his role of a good neighbor through the commitment to education, innovation and economic development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On Friday, Raiffeisen Bank and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo, ceremoniously marked the partnership between industry and science, which invests in people, skills and future. “Raiffeisen Lab” was opened at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering – the newly updated Amphitheater, which funded by Raiffeisen Bank. With this act, Raiffeisen Bank has become a sponsor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Sarajevo and thus once again confirmed the role of a good neighbor through the commitment to education, innovation and economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This sponsorship is much more than financial support. It is an investment in talents and innovations and is an active generations of innovators and leaders in the field of education and innovations,” he pointed out on the Hannes Mäsenbacher, a member of the Risk Management Raiffeisen Bank International.
The opening of Raiffeisen Lab was also attended by dr. Johann Strobl, President of the Management Board of Raiffeisen Bank International as well as members of the Raiffeisen Bank in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kreshnik Halili, Edin Hrnjica and Lars Frankemölle.
Prof. dr. Jasmin Velagić, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, expressed its satisfaction with Raiffeisen Bank, is a significant step forward for our educational environment and provide our educational conditions for better learning. Raiffeisen Lab is a platform for cooperation and a place, where new generations of engineers will create our future through Hackathone, Common projects, guest workers such as artificial intelligence, cyber security, processing and IT security. Through these activities, students will acquire practical experience and direct contact with challenges in the banking industry, while Raiffeisen Bank will receive access to talented young generations and fresh ideas.
Through cooperation with the Faculties of Economics and Bisinis, the Rights, the Natural and Technical Sciences, Raiffeisen has so far provided employment opportunities for more than 100 highly qualified new diplomacs, offering competitive conditions and establishing itself as a desirable employer.
