On Tuesday around 19:00, the duty service of PS Istok/PU Tuzla received a report that a banner made of white cloth with the inscription: “Welcome Ustashas and Chetniks of the Islamic religion, get sunned tonight” was placed on the outer part of the fence of JZU UKC Tuzla, near the “Blue Hospital”.
The on-duty prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton was informed about the aforementioned event, who qualified it as a criminal offense of “Inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord or intolerance” from Article 163 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. When the police patrol of PS Istok went to the scene, the allegations of the report were confirmed, while the investigation was carried out by the investigators of the OKP PU Tuzla, during which the banner was seized and will be used as evidence in the criminal proceedings.
Working to clarify the above-mentioned criminal offense, operative checks revealed information about the possible perpetrators, it was established that several persons were connected with the execution of the same, and two persons were brought to the official premises of the OKP PU Tuzla, and during the criminal investigation it was established that M.Č. (2003) from Tuzla and AH (2002) also from Tuzla, perpetrators of the said crime, against whom, after undertaking all necessary measures and actions according to the instructions of the cantonal prosecutor on duty, KT TK, a report on the committed crime with evidence will be submitted.
Taking further actions to discover other potential participants in this event, i.e. the perpetrators of the criminal act, will continue, with the aim of establishing all relevant facts essential for documenting this criminal act.
