The Chair of the Finance and Budget Committee Mia Karamehić Abazovic met representatives of the Entity Engineering Chambers and the Association of the Commission in the Commission in BiH, and the analysis of the problem in cooperation with the BiH Public Procurement Agency.
The Prophet Sasa Magazinović, as a proposal, presented the Law on Amendments to the Law on Public Procurement, which will be on the agendaires of the House of Representatives, and whose adoption, as it would significantly influence the reduction in irregularities and illegalities in the public procurement process in BiH.
Warning the fact that on an annual level in the public procurement process disappears, Magazinović said to the proposed penalties, as he said, introduce three new criminal offenses – fraud, illegitible work and unscrupulous work in public procurement proceedings. He also emphasized that the proposed changes to the law does not cover only ministers, directories and headquarters, but also civil servants participating in the public procurement procedure.
Representatives of engineering chambers and associations of BiH consultants, which, represented about 32,000 licensed engineers in both entities, was a realistic sector of the economy in a very difficult situation, and advocated to root changes in the public procurement system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In this regard, they presented their proposals, which, in cooperation with the BiH Public Procurement Agency, were incorporated into the new pre-draft Law on Public Procurement. They have requested the support of the parliamentarians for their proposals in the House of Representatives of the PSBiH.
As a Moderator of this meeting, MP Jasmin Emrić expressed satisfaction between the representatives of the business community and the Public Procurement Agency in BiH, and the inevitory and elimination of crime, corruption and illegal public procurement in BiH, announced is from the PSBiH Public Relations Sector.
