The acting prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton submitted to the judge for preliminary proceedings of the Tuzla Municipal Court a proposal to determine the measure of one-month detention for Salih Zulčić (34) from Tuzla due to the existence of reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of violent behavior in connection with the criminal offense of grievous bodily harm.
Zulčić is suspected of having on January 26, 2026, around 2:30 p.m. in the Tuzla neighborhood of Slatina, from the car he was driving, stopped the vehicle in which the victim MH was, got out of the vehicle, approached the victim who was in the car and punched him in the head through an open window. The victim then got out of the car, introduced himself as a police officer, showed the suspect his official ID card and asked him to stop his violent behavior, but Zulčić kicked him again in the thigh area and then damaged the car in which he was injured with kicks and hands.
On the same day at around 16:00 in the center of Tuzla, he first took the phone from the injured AI, who asked him to return the phone, but the suspect hit him several times in the head with the phone and continued to hit him with his hands and feet all over his body and when he fell on the lawn and caused serious injuries.
The police officers of the Criminal Police Department of the PU Tuzla immediately after that deprived the suspect of his liberty. The criminal investigation was carried out and along with the report on the committed crime, it was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office.
The acting prosecutor ordered the investigation and interrogated the suspect.
