ProCredit Bank has been operating in the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina for almost three decades, with a clear focus on support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), but also the development of modern services for individuals.
The Bank is recognized by the combination of financial and advisory support, strong orientation towards green investments and the continuous development of digital solutions that facilitate customer operations. We discussed strategic priorities, current initiatives and challenges with Enes Mešić, the Director of the Support Department and the Development of the Economy in ProCredit Bank.
Speaking of the bank’s position in the domestic financial sector, Mešić emphasizes that ProCredit Bank is a development-oriented institution.
– Our main focus is support for micro, small and medium enterprises, because we believe that this segment is a key driver of economic development and job creation in the country – explains.
In addition to the company, the Bank pays special attention to individuals to whom it offers modern digital services, with the emphasis on accountable banking and transparent business conditions. Special emphasis was also placed on green investments and energy efficiency projects. – We believe that sustainable development goes hand in hand with the country’s economic progress – Adds Mešić.
In order to support newly established businesses, ProCredit Bank has developed a Prostart package of services intended for companies that operate less than six months. It includes free account maintenance in local and foreign currency, free payment operations in the country, electronic banking and business card.
– In this way, we contribute to the development of small businesses as future generators of economic growth and new jobs in the country – the Mešić points out.

ProCredit Bank has been between the pioneers of digitization in banking for years. – Our goal is to enable customers to enable faster, simpler and more efficient services. In 2015, we introduced zones 24/7, as an alternative to traditional branches, allowing customers to save time and money through the independence of everyday transactions – explains Mešić.
The Bank also invests in parallel in automation of internal processes, to improve the quality of service and shorten the processing time of the request. One of the significant improvements currently in preparation is new electronic and mobile banking for legal and natural persons.
– This decision brings a number of new functionalities and even more simpler financial management, which we confirm our strategic orientation towards digitization and the creation of sustainable, modern solutions that meet the real needs of our clients – says Edin Mešić.

Challenges and obstacles in the market
Speaking about the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in BiH, Mešić points out that among key problems delay in the application of legal regulations related to digitization. – Electronic signature and digital onboarding clients are still not in full use, which makes business difficult – states.
