The police administration of the MUP TK expresses its gratitude to the citizens – the residents of the Dubrave Gornje settlement, who turned to the police with full confidence, provided support to the police officers on the ground, which contributed to the location and arrest of a large number of participants in the fight, and further prevention of disruption of public order and peace.
“We point out this kind of behavior of citizens as an extremely positive example of cooperation between citizens and the police, which ultimately contributes to the creation of a better security situation in the area of Tuzla Canton, which is our common interest,” they said.
We remind you that on Saturday around 21:55 hours, PS Živinice was reported by citizens that several people were fighting in Dubrave Gornje, town of Živinice. Several police patrols from PS Živinica, PS Banovići, PS Zapad/PU Tuzla, PS Centar/PU Tuzla, rapid intervention teams of the Police Unit for Special Support of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Police Unit for preventing large-scale disturbances of public order and peace of PS Živinica and PS Banovići were sent to the scene, as well as investigators from the OKP of PU Živinica, and the teams of SHMP DZ Živinice and Tuzla, where a large number of people were found, while one part started to move away. in the nearby area.
Due to the timely and efficient coordinated action of police officers at the scene, the participants were located, found, and brought to the official premises of the Police Department of MUP TK, where a total of 93 participants in the fight were detained under the supervision of the cantonal prosecutor on duty. During the criminal investigation, it was established that fans of the football clubs “Crvena zvezda” and “Hajduk” participated in the fight.
In the fight, 23 people were injured (citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina – an entity of the RS and citizens of the Republic of Croatia), of which 4 people received serious physical injuries (among them a police officer of the Police Department of the MUP TK), 18 people received light physical injuries and 1 person received injuries whose degree the doctors did not state.
During the criminal investigation, the investigators of the Criminal Police Department of the Živinica Police Department and the Criminal Police Sector of the Police Department of the MUP TK found that 14 persons were directly linked to the commission of a criminal offense (11 persons are citizens of the Republic of Croatia and 3 persons are citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina), and in accordance with the instructions of the cantonal prosecutor on duty, they were deprived of their liberty, and after the criminal investigation, the suspected persons were on 25.1.2026. with the Report on the committed criminal offense submitted to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Tuzla Canton.
